2nd Stopsley Rangers was originally created in 2003 to cater for a group of Guides from the area who had reached 14 but did not want to leave the movement. Along with a young adult leader, these five girls founded the unit.
Five years on, we currently have 15 full time members and several others that visit when they return from university in the holidays. The idea remains the same - to provide a new and exciting opportunity for Guides that

have reached 14 and/or completed their Baden Powell Award and free up places in the Guide units for Brownies wishing to join them.
You don't have to have been a Guide to join Rangers. Any laydee between the ages of 14 and 26 may join.
We meet every fortnight, organising meetings and events around coursework, jobs, exams and life in general. The programme is balanced around Look Wider work and activities requested by our members. We work closely with one of the local Guide units, helping out when necessary.
There is nothing that Rangers cannot do, providing that it can be funded and is within GirlguidingUK guidelines.
